ONTARIO, CA, UNITED STATES, December 24, 2025 -- Renogy, a U.S.-based leader in off-grid and mobile energy solutions, publicized that its ShadowFlux™ solar panel has been formally certified by Frost & Sullivan as the world's first rigid solar module boasting cell-level shadow management technology. This recognition represents Renogy's second "world's first" market status certification, coming after Frost & Sullivan's earlier verification of Renogy's smart, portable solid-state batteries for mobile energy storage.

"Our decision to pursue independent certification is fundamentally about building customer confidence," said Renogy's Head of Marketing. "Off-grid power solutions like solar panels and lithium batteries are becoming more important as the market grows, but for many people, they're still not part of everyday life. While suppliers can market performance and features with data, real-world performance takes time to prove."

"That's why Renogy puts our products through rigorous real-life simulations and works with trusted third-party organizations like Frost & Sullivan to validate our claims. By combining real-world testing with independent certification, we aim to educate customers, reduce uncertainty around reliability and safety, and help partners and OEMs make decisions they can trust." Shading stands as one of the most common and inescapable difficulties in solar power generation, notably in uses such as RVs, boats, overland vehicles, and home rooftops where shadows from antennas, trees, rails, or surrounding structures are frequent. Conventional rigid solar panels see major power loss when even a minor portion is shaded.

As per Frost & Sullivan's independent market investigation, ShadowFlux is the first commercially available rigid solar panel to implement cell-level shadow management.

This technology lets unaffected cells continue working when part of the panel is shaded, instead of cutting output across the full panel. During partial shading, testing indicates ShadowFlux can generate up to about 85% more energy output compared to traditional rigid solar panels, based on shading patterns and installation setups—producing more stable and trustworthy power generation in real-world usage.

In addition to the market position certification, ShadowFlux has passed reliability assessment to check its performance stability in real settings. Teaming with an IECEE CBTL-accredited lab, the product completed over 48 extreme reliability tests that replicate years of outdoor exposure, involving temperature variation, humidity, vibration, and mechanical stress, to appraise long-term sturdiness in demanding applications.
