1.In DC Home or Renogy ONE, the current is shown as negative when charging and positive when discharging.

Inspect for reverse contact on B- or Pterminals.
2. Incorrect temperature reading

Confirm the Battery Temperature Sensor is properly installed.
3. Incorrect SOC reading

The battery capacity decreases as the charging and discharging cycles increase.Re-configure the “Rated Battery Ah” to the capacity when the battery is fully charged.
4.Inaccurate sampling precision in large-current scenarios

Elevated ambient temperatures can affect sampling accuracy. Ensure proper ventilation for the shunt and remove the upper cover if needed.
5.What should I do if my battery shunt 300 is showing only discharging readings?

If you notice that your battery shunt 300 displays only discharging readings after installation, with the readings staying at zero, please follow these steps:
1.Remove battery shunt from both Renogy One Core and DC Home.
2. Uninstall the DC Home app and install a new DC Home app.
3. To avoid potential conflicts, turn off your phone before proceeding.
4.Set Renogy One Core to pairing mode and reset the battery shunt.
5.Pair Renogy One Core and battery shunt 300, then turn on your phone.
6.Activate pairing in DC Home; you will see a link, not the battery shunt 300 readings. However, this link is pairing battery shunt 300 and Renogy One Core with DC Home.
7. Pair this link.
By following these steps, you can resolve the issue, and the battery shunt 300 readings displayed correctly. If the issue persists, it's recommended to contact Renogy's technical support for further assistance.

6.Why does the SOC alarm parameter on my battery shunt reset to 50% in Renogy Core One settings?

If you're experiencing an issue where the State of Charge (SOC) alarm parameter you set for the battery shunt in Renogy Core One settings resets to 50% after a short period, follow these steps for troubleshooting:
1.Turn off the power to the battery shunt 300.
2.Delete the battery shunt 300 from the Renogy One Core settings.
3.Turn the power back on for the battery shunt 300.
4.Add the battery shunt 300 back to the Renogy One Core.
5.Refer to the user manual for the battery shunt 300 and follow the provided instructions for setting up the SOC alarm parameter.
By following these troubleshooting steps, you can resolve the issue of the SOC alarm parameter resetting to the default value. If the issue persists, it's recommended to contact Renogy's technical support for further assistance.

7.What should I do if my battery shunt 300 can connect to my phone but not to Renogy One Core?

If your battery shunt successfully connects to your phone but faces issues connecting to Renogy One Core, consider the following steps:
1.Check Renogy One Core Firmware
2.Reset the battery shunt 300:Press and hold the reset button on the battery shunt for 5 seconds until the Bluetooth light turns off.
3.Connection Steps:On the Renogy One Core, click "Add Device" and scan for the battery shunt 300.Once detected, the battery shunt's Bluetooth light should stay solid.
By following these troubleshooting steps, you can resolve issues related to battery shunt connectivity with the Renogy One Core. If problems persist, contact Renogy's technical support for further assistance.

8.Battery charge percentage doesn’t show and the Consumed Ah reading is way off.

If you encounter abnormal data readings on the battery shunt 300, follow these troubleshooting steps:
1.Power off the battery shunt 300 and restart it.
2.Perform charge and discharge cycles on the battery pack connected to the battery shunt 300.
3.After the restart and cycling, check if the consumed Ampere-Hours (AH) reading returns to normal.
If the issue persists after the above steps, please contact our support team for further assistance.

9.The battery shunt 300 doesn't have programming options for lithium or lead-acid batteries. Can it not be programmed for lithium or lead-acid batteries?

battery shunt 300 does not differentiate between battery types. Its calculations are based on current and voltage. During the initial connection, it will prompt you to input the battery capacity. It can also be manually calibrated. After fully charging the battery, set the current SOC to 100% in the settings. While specific programming for different battery types isn't available, these settings and manual adjustments ensure precise monitoring and control.
10.Can the battery shunt 300 handle battery banks larger than 300A?

The 300A specification of the battery shunt represents its maximum capacity rather than indicating a limitation based on battery bank size. It is not restricted to use only with 300A battery banks. To ensure compatibility, calculate the actual maximum continuous current in your circuit, and the battery shunt 300 should be suitable for monitoring larger battery banks.
