Efficiency: Parallel connection of LiFePO4 batteries is generally more efficient than series connection because each cell or battery charges and discharges independently. This ensures that the entire pack is not affected if one cell or battery fails or becomes damaged. In contrast, if one cell or battery in a series-connected pack fails or becomes damaged, it can affect the performance of the entire pack. We recommend connecting a maximum of 4S4P when using this battery. While it is possible to connect up to 4S8P, it may increase the risk of safety issues.

Here are some key tips: Implement a Battery Management System (BMS): The BMS controls the charging and discharging process of the battery, regulating the voltage and current. It provides multi-level protection against overcurrent, overvoltage, current limiting, short circuit, and reverse polarity. Additionally, it has a 0V charging function that can reactivate or repair long-unused batteries. Monitor Temperature: It is crucial to maintain the battery within an appropriate temperature range. Extreme temperatures can significantly affect the lifespan of the lithium battery. Please ensure that it is stored at the temperature of -25°C-65°C/ -13℉~149℉. Optimize Storage Conditions: To prolong the lifespan of your battery, we recommend storing it at a 50% charge level. 6. Can this battery be used in series to build a 48-volt system?
Yes. Renogy 12V Core Series Batteries can be connected in series to ramp up voltage for a 24V, 36V, or 48V off-grid power system. You can also consider wiring batteries in series first and then wire sets of batteries (same models required) in parallel for maximum power up to 10.24kWh.
7. Is it compatible with Renogy ONE?
No. This battery is not compatible with Renogy ONE currently. You can use a 500A Battery Monitor With Shunt (sold separately) to keep track of battery status.

1. How to activate the battery?

The 24v batteries are shipped in shelf mode. Before using the battery for the first time, please activate the battery with a charge/discharge current greater than 1A and measure the terminal voltage to validate. Prior to long periods of storage, please disconnect the 24v lithium battery from the system. The battery will enter shelf mode automatically after 30s. In shelf mode, the 24v lithium battery has a low self-discharge rate and can hold the charge for a longer period of time.

2. Can this battery be used in series to build a 48 volt system?

No, you can't. These Renogy 24V lithium batteries do NOT support connecting in series. They are made ONLY for connecting in parallel using identical 24v batteries, same type (lithium), same capacity (Ah), same voltage (V), same brand (Renogy).

3. How long will the battery last?

Our battery is capable of 3500 cycles of perfect charge and discharge, after which the efficiency of the battery will drop to 80% of the factory performance, but it is still very good for your use. If you live a completely off-grid life, calculated at the rate of a full charge and discharge per day, you will be able to use it for more than 10 years. As a high-end 24v deep cycle battery, the Renogy 24v battery features all-around IP65 Waterproof, making it suitable for most outdoor scenarios, such as a 24v trolling motor battery or a 24v marine battery. The seamless ABS housing protects the battery against dust and other particulates.

4. Can I pair a bluetooth Module for this battery to monitor the battery status on phone?

No. This 24v lithium ion battery is not compatible with Bluetooth module. You can use 500A Battery Monitor With Shunt to monitor battery status (which is sold separately).

5.Can you recommend a solar charge controller for this 24V 50Ah battery?

When purchasing a solar charge controller, ensure that the controller is compatible with the lithium battery 24v. The Renogy Rover and Wanderer Series Charge controllers are fully compatible with our lithium 24v battery. You can charge this 24v LiFePO4 battery with Rover Elite MPPT charge controller or 10A AC-to-DC LFP Portable Battery Charger.

6. How should I handle the battery after it arrives?

When you receive your battery, please be aware that it may have a low State of Charge (SOC) due to the transportation and storage process. To ensure its optimal performance, we recommend charging the battery right away to avoid over-discharge. If you plan to store the battery for an extended period without usage, we suggest charging it to a SOC of 30% to 50% and performing maintenance every three months. These steps will help maintain its functionality and performance over time.
