NOTE:
  • Do not over-torque or over-tighten the terminals. This could potentially damage the unit.
  • Be careful of the positive and negative poles. Reversing the poles might cause permanent damage to the inverter. It will surely blow the internal fuse.
  • Avoid switching on the inverter with the load (electronic devices) already switched on. This may trigger an overload since some electronic devices have an initial high power surge to start.
  • When switching off the inverter, turn off the electronic devices first. Although the inverter is off, the capacitors will still have a charge, so the DC and AC terminals must be disconnected if altering the circuitry.

1. What's the difference between an inverter charger and an inverter?

The Inverter acts as a DC to AC converter that allows you to power your household appliances. The Inverter charger not only acts as a DC to AC converter that allows you to power your household appliances but also charge and maintain a battery bank when connected to shore power.
2. Can I use the inverter with a 24V system?

No. This model can only work with a 12V battery system.
3. What's a battery temperature sensor?

The charger needs to select the charging mode according to the battery voltage. The Temperature Sensor can compensate the battery voltage affected by temperature so that the charger recognizes the voltage more accurately and assures stable and constant charging to the battery, Prolong battery lifespan.
Note: The DC-DC Temperature Sensor cannot use with Lithium batteries.
4. What size inverter should I buy?

1. Sizing the right power output.
Inverters will be rated by a wattage value, telling you how many watts they can run at one time. For example, imagine you had a 500 Watt Fridge and 800 Watt Air Conditioning. These two items would be 1300 Watts and would require an inverter with a higher wattage than 1300W. Renogy 2000W and 3000W inverter will meet your power needs.
2. Check your battery voltage.
The DC voltage rating on the inverter will tell you what battery bank it is compatible with. For example, a 12V battery bank will require an inverter that is compatible with 12V DC input.
3. Size your installation spaces.
What area or space will you set your inverter? Make sure the inverter will fit in the space you have in mind with enough room around it for proper ventilation and no fire hazards.
4. Remote operation is important.
Renogy pure sine inverters come with convenient remote control and DC HOME APP options so that you can operate the unit from afar.
5. Do I need Modified Sine Wave or Pure Sine Wave?

Modified sine wave inverters are older technology and generally less expensive. They can be used for many standard appliances but may cause trouble with delicate electronics or audio equipment. Some equipment may work but run hotter than normal.
Pure sine wave inverters are a bigger investment, but much more versatile.
a) Output voltage waveform is a pure sine wave with very low harmonic distortion and clean power like utility-supplied electricity.
b) Inductive loads like microwave ovens and motors run faster, quieter, and cooler.
c) Reduces audible and electrical noise in fans, fluorescent lights, audio amplifiers, TV, Game consoles, Fax, and answering machines.
d) Prevents crashes in computers, weird print out, and glitches and noise in monitors.
6. Can I use the Bluetooth Module to monitor this inverter charger from my phone? Which Bluetooth Module should I buy?

We apologize that there is No Bluetooth Module compatible with this inverter.

    Excellent product

Posted by Taylor on Nov 10th 2022

Installation instructions were clear, with appropriate tips and warnings highlighted throughout. Felt like a pretty daunting project at first, but that made it easy. Be sure to research ahead of time, but if you want an off grid system, this worked great for us.

    Great product

Posted by Manuel A. Simo on Oct 31st 2022

I have a mobile barbershop and i have to say that renogy has changed my life. I previously had a cummins Onan generator that was charging my first 2 200ah renogy batteries for the 2000w renogy inverter charger and powering my ac unit (dometic penguin ii). After 3 months using my generator it went up because it was overheating and burnt all the oil on it and almost blew up.. (generator was underneath of the sprinter van but i didn’t know it was too close to the ground) I did my research and decided to add a a second inverter charger (renogy 3000w) just for the ac unit and 2 more batteries (200ah each) today i tested the system and its been 3.5 hours since I turned on the ac unit and everything else inside the van and only 1 bar out of 4 bars on the batteries has gone down.. im super happy with this electrical system and im already planning to get more vans done with the same system.. PS: I added a second alternator to the van (280amp) so when im driving the batteries are getting charged.
