- Do not over-torque or over-tighten the terminals. Over-tightening could potentially damage the unit.
- Be mindful of the positive and negative poles. Reversing the poles may cause permanent damage to the inverter and will likely blow the internal fuse.
- Avoid switching on the inverter with the load (electronic devices) already powered on. Some electronic devices have a high initial power surge when starting, which could trigger an overload.
- When turning off the inverter, switch off the electronic devices first. Although the inverter is off, the capacitors may still hold a charge. Ensure the DC and AC terminals are disconnected if altering the circuitry.

Inverters will be rated by a wattage value, telling you how many watts they can run at one time. For example, imagine you had a 500 Watt Fridge and 800 Watt Air Conditioning. 2. Check your battery voltage.
