The Renogy 100 watt portable solar panel is amazing. Great product, works like a charm. I couldn't be happier. Great price too.
Perfect for boondocking in my 87 VW Syncro Westy
Posted by Jeff T. - 13 August 2018
This panel married to my Bogart SC-2030 charge control is perfect for my needs when camping pretty much any where. I had a fixed panel but had to always park in the sun. Now I can park in the shade and chase the sun. Great quality and couldn't be happier.
Easy to use, charges even on a cloudy day
Posted by Randy - 13 August 2018
I bought this along with a Wanderer charge controller to use with my 16' Scamp trailer. My plan is to be able to "boondock" for several days using lights, the water pump and maybe the built-in furnace, and keep the battery charged up. I got it hooked up today, in sunlight, with the battery at 12.7V. In no time, the battery was fully charged. Later, I turned on the DC refrigerator. That did pull the battery down (I didn't expect the panel to keep up with it). When I turned the fridge off, it was cloudy, but the battery almost recovered before I disconnected and put it away. I don't have actual field experience yet, but it looks like it will do the trick.
Great product and service

The staff at Renogy was very helpful and the shipping was extremely fast. The installation was simple and the product works really well.
100w solar suitcase
Posted by Scott K. - 13 August 2018
This 100w solar suitcase is really great. I ran down the battery on my Phoenix solar generator to 2%. The Renogy 100w solar suitcase is really efficient. It charged the Phoenix generator back to 100% in under 3 hours in April on a mostly cloudy day. Super product, highly recommended THANKS RENOGY TEAM

Needed extra power to go with my Phoenix solar generator. Read some reviews, did some research and 100w Suitcase was just the
Addition I was looking for. Another great product Renogy team. Keep up the good work
2nd suitcase panel; better than ever
Posted by Diana S. - 13 August 2018
Purchased a 2nd 100W suitcase panel to complement first one I bought couple years ago for our motorhome w/pair of 12V deep-cycle batteries (actually, converted the setup to pair of 6V batteries connected in series, but hooks up like a 2-piece 12V battery). Arrived promptly, costs less than last time since the newer smaller/more-efficient design is now available, and noticed that the closure hardware is much more effective and easier-to-use than original design. Hoping to get more-complete charging each day than I was able to get before w/just one set of panels. Highly recommend the product & Renogy.

Ranger Review from The Dyrt
Posted by Shari G. - 13 August 2018
We recently received a new 100-watt panel from Renogy. As a Ranger for The Dyrt, we've been taking this baby out on a test drive as we've camped in various places throughout the southeast this winter. It plugged right into our existing system, and after some retrofitting needed to attach it to the tonneau cover on our truck, we were good to go! So far, we love it!
What we like about this product:
It has a larger capacity than our previous panel, but with a slimmer profile and just a slightly larger footprint.
It's easier to manage because it folds in half for storage, if that is what you plan to do when you are not using it, and it comes with its own carrying case.
It comes with its own kickstand! Previously, we used my husband's guitar stand and bungee cords to put our older 80-watt panel in the right orientation to the sun. Now, we just pull out the stand, set it up, and start charging.
The carrying handle is firmly integrated into the side, making for an easy place to loop a cable through to lock it down when we leave for the day.
What could be improved:
Honestly, so far…nothing that we've found. It's easy to use, robust, and does the job of collecting power from the sun.
Haven't used it yet,l

100 watt suitcase w/o controller - perfect for the Yet 400!
Posted by Scott G. - 13 August 2018
I purchased the 100 watt suitcase w/o controller for use with a Goal Zero Yeti 400. Shipping was fast and I used it for the first time today. Extremely easy setup using the connection adaptor from Goal Zero. It charged my Yeti 400 from 40% to full in four hours in direct sunlight. I moved the panel several times to maximize input and worked perfect for a cold December day. Charging input was 65 watts using a 20ft 8awg extension. Well designed and legs were very sturdy. Carry case protects panels when folded. Will definitely buy another one.

It arriver ahead of schedule. I plug it into my Yeti 400 and the panel charged it up. It is well made and I would order it again.
solar suitcase review

Great, beautiful product!! My only complaint however is that one of the MC4 connectors from the panel is difficult to get completely connected to the adaptor or extension MC4 connector. Just doesn't click in as easily or as snug as all the other connectors do. May need to replace this at some point in the near future. (can't remember if it is pos/neg or male/female connector that is problematic)
Excellent quality, just right for off-roof RV use
Posted by Gator Jeff - 13 August 2018
Purchased to use on extended road trips w/our 25' motorhome. Didn't want to put on roof because we often seek out shade, and also because our roof space is limited and we go up on roof several times a year to put on (& off) a full motorhome cover. I got the unit w/out controller because I wanted to have ability to use longer cable runs than the 25 ft that comes w/the full kit; also, to use bigger gauge wire (10) you need an upgrade to the controller included w/the full kit.
Solar suitcase without controller
Posted by For camping trailer - 13 August 2018
I was waiting for this item to restock for some time because it was unavailable when I first stumbled upon it. It saved me the trouble of creating my own folding panel set and since I have my own charge controller, saved me the trouble of purchasing one on the solar suitcase that I don't want or need. The stand is really sturdy and the entire package is awesome with the case...it was definitely worth the money. I haven't had the chance to put it to use, but Renogy has such an awesome reputation that I have no doubt it will be great.

I ordered Sunday, Monday I realized I needed the model without the controller *since I am using it to recharge a GoalZero 400)and a after a simple mail everything including the 25 buck refund was taken care of. And, btw, it shipped on Tuesday morning!
Will update about functionality

Well made. Not as heavy as I expected after lifting a friend's comparable suitcase panel. Handle and hinges are heavy duty and not cheap plastic. The padded case it resides in fits well and completes this quality-made product.

I'm using the portable 100 watt unit to get my feet wet in solar and can't be more pleased. In bright sunlight It pumps out 5-6 amps into my 4 golf cart batteries and I no longer need to keep my coach plugged into shore power.
