Technical Support Representative

Our technical support team is a group of dedicated individuals who work hard to help customers, whether it be with troubleshooting a product, sizing a system, or walking them through their solar setup on phone and email, and we're looking for one more addition to our tech-savvy crew.

OTHER DUTIES
  • Interact with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries utilizing phone and online communication.
  • Rapidly diagnose and resolve technical hardware issues involving different solar system components.
  • Research required information using available resources.
  • Work in tandem with Engineering to problem solve and supply the appropriate support to clients.
  • Provide feedback to Engineering on product shortcomings and make suggestions for improvement.
  • Call backs, responding to questions on the Renogy Forum, and extra projects during downtime.
  • Check-in returned products and test to determine whether the product can be resold as open box or be recycled.
  • Respond to Technical Support emails and LiveChat Tickets.
  • Basic break down of time- Phone calls (50%), Emails/LiveChat (20%), Testing (30%).

    Mechanical Engineer

    Renogy - Ontario, CA

    A Mechanical Engineer is sought by a renewable energy company located in Ontario, CA to perform the following duties:.

    DUTIES
    • Design and re-design mechanical components (mounting accessories, frame, and covers) and mechanical systems (inverter and charge controller)
    • Analyze and test mechanical components and systems; summarize test results to make recommendations to management regarding quality, suitability, marketability and viability of mechanical components and systems
    • Analyze integration of sensors and machinery; analyze interaction with other connected systems such as recreational vehicle and air conditioning systems
    • Improve solar packaging to reduce damage during transportation
    • Create complete design documentations, including 3D models of parts and assemblies, drawings, work instructions, procedures and Bills of Materials
    • Qualify designs by planning and conducting tests using test bench
    • Conduct Finite Element Method simulation, thermal analysis, and engineering calculation to ensure the reliability of products, systems and mounting methods under extreme conditions like wind speed, snow load, and heat
    • Verify the products are properly designed from mechanical engineering perspective in compliance with industry standards;
    • Perform technical evaluations on products and equipment proposals; coordinates evaluations with purchasing department;
    • Oversee tests, installations, operation, maintenance and repair of solar systems
    • Size photovoltaic systems for different clients and projects
    • Apply solar panels to other products to implement creative ideas, such as solar hat, solar cooler, and solar generator
    • Review materials compositions among different layers of solar panels; improve the heat dissipation inside the flexible panel
    • Prepare specifications, manuals, reports and create CAD files for customer support staff and customers
    • Help technical support teams and consumers solve problems that relate to mechanical engineering issues
    REQUIRED
    • Education: Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering, material science and engineering, or other closely related field, foreign degree equivalent acceptable
    • High proficiency in SolidWorks and MS Office
    • Familiar with simulation software (FEA, CFD/thermal modeling, etc.), SMath Studio, and FLIR Tool
    • Familiar with core concepts in mechanical engineering, engineering Bills of Materials, and industry codes
    • Strong ability in calculation, engineering problem analysis and solving
    • Strong ability to follow detailed instructions, work independently, and complete tasks on-time
    • • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    DC Warehouse Associate

    Renogy - Ontario, CA

    Renogy is currently on the lookout for a DC Warehouse Associate to add to our team. This position will report directly to the DC Warehouse Supervisor and be responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and preparing of product for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Receive material coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly.
    • Verify the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list.
    • Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items. Appropriately report/record any discrepancies.
    • Accurately place materials on shelves, in racks or other designated storage areas in an orderly manner.
    • Assemble and fill orders to be shipped to customers.
    • Pull, pack, and ship orders in an accurate manner.
    • Preparation of all shipping documentation.
    • Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
    • Assist in inventory management.
    • Notify supervisors of problems that are not resolvable.
    • Process and package goods in a time efficient manner.
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    • Able to move and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
    • Able to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment
    • Position spends 7 hours standing, walking, lifting, pulling, and pushing throughout day.
    REQUIRED
    • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
    • Experience: Warehouse and distribution at least 1 year.
